In the later books, they took care to restore the original quotations. Particularly when quoting Fischer, readers would have been familiar with the style. <br /><br />Quoting several pages of John Nunn's demolition of an earlier book on the Latvian might have been valid in a Russian edition where readers might not have been familiar with the original.
