I wonder who 'World Chess' had in mind when drafting the article (see link)? It explains how a Knight moves. So presumably it isn't aimed at the '600,000,000 players' then
My assumption is that it's basically there for journalists sent to cover the world championship match who have no idea about chess, who will be referred to this articles. So my further assumption is that this means a lot of "600 million" bollocks is in all likelihood going to be appearing in the media over the next month.
