Chess in Art at the Wallace Collection

But, what's this? 

Rupert Dickens - giving the talk - will be known to some readers as an active player on the London chess scene. He is also a guide at the Wallace. Should be good!

Perhaps unwisely, the Wallace has advertised the talk using this mildly controversial picture from their collection.

Just what are they playing at?  Perhaps all will be revealed on the 10th November.
